Blank rows between data

I have a spreadsheet with blank rows between each row of data. First o
all, how can I set it up to skip the row automatically when enterin
and second, when sorting, I need to keep the blank row in between?
don't want to lose the blank rows. How do I go about achieveing this?

If the blank rows are there just to give the appearance of double spacing, then
maybe you could elminate them and just double the row height.
