Blank values in Pivot table cells

Hi There,
I am running Excel 2000. I've created a pivot table from
source data that has a comments column with a general
format. Some cells have text data, others are blank. When
this column is included in a pivot table, the cells which
were blank show the message (blank). Is there a way to
get it to just display a space?

Under Pivot table options, I do have the option 'For empty
cells' checked. It shows a space in the value to
display.

I appreciate your suggestions! Sue

Uncheck the (Blank) from the dropdown in the field name

I just type over one of the (blank) cells with what I want
it to display. I usually use a "-", or put a space in and
then all of the other (blank)s will change to the new text.

Good Luck
