blanks instead of "0" in vlookup

This is a vlookup:

I am looking up a cell that happens to be blank, but the result of the
vlookup is "0." How do I change the O to a blank?

=IF(ISBLANK(vlookup),"",(vlookup))
Replace vlookup with your current vlookup formula.

Just out of curiosity - what is the point in searching for a blank cell to
return a blank cell?
