Block diagram - Multi-tree Square shape issue - Visio 2003 Pro

Now, this is really getting my boxers in a snit - the Multi-tree Square
shape ONLY allows 6 nodes (yes, I said SIX) to be added! I can't even cheat
by hanging another shape below it because Visio is SO SMART it won't let me
overlap lines in a shape. (Gee, I wish I had the brains to think for myself,
but hey, MS knows better)

Now, before I get a bunch of trolls that do nothing to help but call people
MS bashers and trolls, I have been working with MS products since LanMan
ver. 1.0 (How many of you can say that!) - I like most MS products VERY
much - it's just stupid shi+ like this that really gets me riled - SO if you
can't say anything helpful, don't even waste the energy replying.

Well, I found out if I OVERLAY the original one, I can add 6 more, but that
is a sorry work around for an issue that SHOULDN'T be an issue. If anyone
else has any input thanx. I wonder if Visio 2007 has this (absolutely
absurd) limitation?

Mike, How many nodes do you need?

at the risk of stirring up your ire...what about taking the shape in
question, saving it to a stencil, then modify the shape to add the features
you want?

I doubt anyone can get Paul stirred up. ;-)

Paul was just asking how many so he could give a reasonable explanation of
changing the shapes shapesheet. To expand the shape would require changes in
several areas, so it is not as easy as opening the spreadsheet and changing
a number from 6 to 12.

Mike: The more complex a shape is, the slower it is. The shape contains six
arms, but not all are visible. For more arms, the shape would have to be
bigger and more arms hidden. Six was just a decision made by the developer.
There is always the old stand by cheat of adding a second shape on top of
the first.

that's what I finally did, was overlay another shape. I am diagramming
dependent dropdown combo boxes for a project.
