blocking access to custom fields

Alfatcop

Hello All,
On Project Server 2007
I intend to use the proposal form to capture ideas. I have created 2 custom
fields which are related to the project lifecycle status. These fields should
only be editable by the PMO people.
How do I prevent people from messing around with these 2 fields while still
having them accessing the proposal form.

Thanks,

Alfatcop

Hi Alfatcop,

out of the box you will not be able to achieve what you are after. This
would require custom development.

Out of the box, if you have rights to the form, you have the right to change
the custom fields. Having said this, I am sure that you can incorporate this
into your project process and train your staff not to use them. You may even
want to call them something like "For internal use only" custom fields.
Hope this helps
