Blocking changes

I am looking for an idiot-proof that many people can use
without erasing text entries or formulas For example:

If cell A1 says "DATE" I don't want someone to be able
with the space bar and/or any other keys to make that word
or its formatting disappear

If Cell B3 is =sum(b1+b2) I don't want to able to erase
the formula at all.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

By default all cells are locked when Tools>Protection>Protect Sheet is
enabled.

To lock just certain cells on a worksheet, select all cells with CRTL + A.
Format>Cells>Protection> uncheck "locked".

Go back to the worksheet and select the formula cells you wish to be locked.
Format>Cells>Protection check "locked".

Now Tools>Protection>Protect Sheet. Provide a password to unprotect.......DO
NOT forget the password or you will be back here again asking how to unprotect
a passworded worksheet. <g>

Note: password protection in Excel can be broken quite easily, but the
"idiots" most likely will not know how.
