Advice to all users: use another e-mail program, for instance open
source
software
Just because YOU don't know how to configure Outlook (to add filetypes
to the Level1Remove list in the registry or use a tool to do it for you,
like Attachment Options) doesn't mean everyone else has the same
deficiency. Or, even simpler would be to rename the extension from,
say, .exe to .exx for the attached file would circumvent the filetype
check.
So what you are suggesting is that users go to a less configurable
e-mail client that can never be configured to block hazardous
attachments so they are always susceptible to attached viruses and
malware. Sounds like you have your own covert agenda. Oops, spoke too
soon. Here I thought the poster was being tricky in trying to get
recipients to be more susceptible to viruses and malware (i.e., *his*
turds attached to e-mails). Then I looked at the headers of his post.
