Blocking out resource time in MSPS

If a resource as listed in the Enterprise Resource Pool Level in MSPS is on
leave/unavailable, how do you block out their time in advance so that work
allocated from various projects will not be allocated to them on those
unavailable days? In the plain version of MSProject, I used to use 'resource
sharing', but this is not a feature of MSPS.

Use the administrative project/administrative time (depending on which
version of server you're using).

Alternatively you could manually create a exception in the resource's
calendar.
