Blogging and Word Press

I am trying to use WordPress with Word 2007. I have an account already set
up and I am trying to register it in Word. I have found the php file that
setup is asking for, and it is located in my public_html file, then a
subfolder called blog. I am using the following url
http://pollutionwebsite.com/blog/xmlrpc.php.
I am using the user ID that I use to log into WordPress an I am doing a cut
and paste of the password. I keep getting an error message saying that Word
cannot register my account.
The url that I use to access my account is
http://pollutionwebsite.com/blog/wplogin.php I have even tried to use that
url. I am using the password using caps and small letter as they were given
to me.
I give up! Any suggestions?

I have a blog at wordpress, but its URL is <blogname>.wordpress.com. I take
it that you have paid extra for one that uses your own domain? I don't have
an answer, but it may be that the information you need can be found
somewhere in the blog post at
http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/new-feature-domains?replies=2 (or in
one of the comments or some other post linked to it).
