blue screen---HELP

I went into my word file to open a document and all I got was a blue
screen....this was on all my word files.............my excel files open just
fine.........I even got out my CD that has my back up files and the word
files from that has a blue screen!
Please help, what is happening?????????
I have windows XP

You need to ask your question in a newsgroup for Microsoft Word. This group
is for questions regarding the Microsoft Access database program.

Isn't there something under options that sets the background to blue instead
of white? Maybe that got changed.
