BMP to JPEG or GIF file

I have a problem with my pictures. I have my photos in a BMP file Format,
and Iwant to upload these photos to somegroup. The problem is thegroup is
requesting photos in the JPEG or GIF format, now I'm faced with a dialema, IS
IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE PHOTO TYPE OR NOT? IF SO HOW DO I DO IT?
how can one change picture type eg BMP files to JPEG or GIF?

Simba,

There are many graphics programs that are capable of doing such conversions.
You might already have one of these installed on your PC, if you have a full
install of a recent Office suite. Another alternative is to search
www.tucows.com for image converter.
