Boder and Linkinfg problems

R

Rose L.

I am somewhat new to frontpage but in the last month have
put in over 300 hours learning this program to do a simple
design change to an existing site. I have a continuous
problem with my shared borders repeating up to 5 times
across the page and then I loose all the existing body
code. I think this has to do with modifying the automatic
linking colors that front page uses. the body and link
code just keeps regenerating. Does anybody know the fix
for this one?

Any way that has become the least of my problems. I have
an image map for my left border and after a small edit to
the image all of the hot spot mapping, which I redid to
make sure nothing got screwy, is not aligning properly
when published so all my links are mislabeled or not
functioning. Can someone give me a hint at least. I won't
even bother to tell you how I ran the service packs and
then couldn't do anything because I keep getting sending
an error report to microsoft everytime I tried to open a
page, oops I told you.

very tired and hoping for a miracle.

Thanks
Rose

There are some bugs in FP2002 & in the FP2002 SE related to shared borders & include pages
so make sure you (and your host) see & apply all appropriate patches from:

For info in Service Pack 1 & 2 for FP2002 / MSO XP - see:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q325671

For the Host/Server running the FP2002 SE

For Unix server problems on the FP2002 SE see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q299360
The latest FP SE for Unix that fix the problems
(FPSE 2000 1.4 patch and an FPSE 2002 SR 1.1 patch)
are at http://www.rtr.com/fpsupport

For NT server problems on the FP2002 SE see

.Hello,
Your first, > insert.>>Navigation>>Link bars>>Based on
navigation structure>> and choose the last option " all
child pages under home, and add the"Additional pages"
home option to it.., visit http://www.accesfrance.com to
get the link to webstyle 3, it will create navigation
bars without using FP,( it is an addin for FP)

Your second> try insert the bmp into a table in the
border??.and specify the size of the table so it wont
move either way.
Thanks,hope it helps.
gerard.
