booklet printing

I created a book fold document using Word 2002. When I try to print a single
page with a border on one half the page comes out on a HPII duplex printer.
I have tried manual duplex with my other printers, here a single blank page
comes out, followed by a message to put the page back and hit OK. Hitting OK
closes the printing job and nothing else comes out.

I tried using the document with Office 97 version of word all the pages
print on half the paper, so I know the pages are there.

I am at a loss as to what the problem may be.

According to the Help, if you try to print a single page of a book fold
document, you will get four: the two on the front and the two on the back.
But even getting those is tricky because Word doesn't respond to the
"Current page" setting in the Print dialog. It will sometimes work if you
give it the specific page number. When you give up on book fold, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BookletPrinting.htm for a method that
will work in any version of Word and a link to a macro that will work in
Word 2000 or above.
