Bookmark missing in 2007 template

SuzyQ

I apologise for posting this again but I can not find my posting and figured
after 20mins of searching for it I should just pose the question again.

I have a template that has an AutoNew macro that displays a dialog box.
Based on the user's selection it places an Autotext in a bookmark at the
beginning of the document. In 2003 I had a bookmark that has disappeared in
the conversion process. Every time I go into the template and reinsert the
bookmark it disappears as soon as I close the template. Since I last posed
the question I tested putting the bookmark in a different location and it
stayed. However I want to insert the autotext as the first thing in the
document.

Naturally, Help is unhelpful. I have tried to work out what the Insert
Before code would be and well that just inserted the auttext on page 3 of the
document. Surely there is code for Inserting at beginning of a document?

Here are a couple of the responses to your previous post to this newsgroup

1. From me

There is no such odd rule.

What code is being used? How have you implemented the facility by which the
user selects "from a list at a particular bookmark"?

Send me a copy of the template and I will look at it if you want.

Hi SuzyQ,

Bookmarks can go anywhere in a document. Your problem description does
suggest, though, that the bookmark isn't being saved in the
template or, if it is, something in the macro you're using is deleting it
before it gets populated. This could happen if, for
example, you've managed to get one bookmark embedded within or overplapping
another bookmark.
