bound field

I have a combo box that, when selected, determines what the bound field will
have as a control source. Yesterday, someone gave me a code to use. It
works...However, it's unbound. what do I use as a control source for the
bound field?

OK, got it working. My only problem is that when I return to the record, the
data I input doesn't show up, until I click on the items in the combo box,
then the appropriate data shows up. It's never lost, just does stay on the
screen when I return to the record.
