Box size is too small

We need to be able to check a box at the bottom of a
screen but cannot because all of the box does not show
up. Is there a way to make a box bigger so we can see
everything in it? Our only options in the top right
are ? and X. There is no maximize button. We tried
putting the curser on the outside lines of the box to try
and drag to make it bigger but was not able to do this.
We need help!!!
