It means the image is inaccessable/unavailable.

Ok, guessed that but how do I make it available? I have gone to
Tools/Security and no matter whether the box for "Don't download pictures
etc" is checked or not it makes no difference.

Without knowing where you got the link to the image from, it is pretty
tough. Have the person who gave you the link, send you the image.

Sorry, no idea, I'm not aware of any Outlook 6. Perhaps you have Outlook
Express 6? If so, the folks in the Internet Explorer/Outlook Express
