brackets at margins ?

Word 2002 has recently been displaying (and printing)
brackets on the page that move with the horizontal and
vertical margin rulers. Can anyone tell me how to get
them off the page ??

Go to Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools | Microsoft Office XP
Language Settings, and disable support for any Asian languages.
