Breaking links in Excel

how do I break an excel link to another worksheet when "Break Link" work?

Does Break Link Work or Not Work? Not sure what you meant exactly.

If you're trying to separate the excel file from it's attached file try this.

Try:
Edit>Links
Click Break Link

Your welcome!

You need to be in the file where the link resides not the target file to
which you are linked. The follow Benjamin's suggestion Edit, Links, select
the link and click Break Link. In 2007 the command is Data, Edit Links,...
