Breaking Links

I have a workbook with a dead link and cannot seem to find it in the
book. On the PC side, you can break links in the Edit menu. Does
this exist on the Mac side? If so, where? If not, why? Any help may
be appreciated.

It doesn't exist in XLv.X. It is, however, a sought-after feature -
send feedback for this or any other item to MS using the Help/Send
Feedback on XL menu item (XLv.X) or to this URL (previous versions):

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/feedback/suggestion.asp

A useful tool for finding links is FINDLINK.XLA by Bill
Manville, which you can download from

http://www.bmsltd.co.uk/mvp/

and which will show you every link in your book and give you an
opportunty to delete them.

It's an .exe file, but Stuffit Expander will decompress it. You may
also need to install the VBA Converter patch from

Mactopia downloads:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/download/default.asp

before you run Bill's add-in.

The add-in was developed in Windows, so the userforms are a bit
squished, but they're readable.
