How do I format my tables, queries, reports, etc. to show the (British) pound

Arvin is correct about creating a £ symbol, (of course!), but I wonder if it
might also help to suggest that you can adjust the "Regional and Language
Options" in the computer's Control Panel. Setting this to "English(United
Kingdom)", will change currency fields to display £ symbols instead of $
signs...

Thank you Arvin and Fred. I was able to change the compuer's control panel
setting and that worked great. However, I was not able to use the Alt+0163
shortcut key. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but every time I tried to
use this, it would beep at me. Is this truly a shortcut key or is it suppose
be in some setting? I am probably doing something really stupid, but do
either of you have any insight as to what I am doing wrong?
Also, is it possible to use the pound symbol and the $ sign for different
records .. i.e. $ for American customers and the pound sign for British
customers?

You must hold down the Alt key for the entire time you are pressing
0-1-6-3... Don't lift up on the Alt key until you have finished pressing all
4 numbers. Use the Number Pad, not the numbers along the top of the
keyboard.

Thank you so much! I was able to put the symbol in where I wanted it and was
able to accomplish what I wanted. I appreciate your help!

You are more than welcome, although I never answered your second question,
about mixing together currency symbols. I don't have a ready answer for you,
since I've never had cause to deal with this. Perhaps using IIF()? Let's
hope someone else jumps in!

I would use two fields for that, one for the amount, another for the
currency.
