Broken Spell Checker (Office 2007)

I changed the language to English UK in Word 2007 and ever since then the
spell checker hasn't worked in any Office product. I have changed back to
English US and removed English UK as a choice. I also have verified that all
spell checker settings are correct. How do I get my spell checker working
again? (I have Vista.)

Check if the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0\Override" exists and if it does delete it.

If that is not the problem

Office Button >Word Options > Add Ins > Manage (select disabled items) >
Click on the English dictionary and re-enable it.
Close and re-open Word and Outlook.

I could not find the \override file, so I used the re-enabling solution; the
problem is fixed in Word but not in Outlook. Any other ideas?

As Outlook shares a subset of Word 2007 the spell check it should be
working - however the Outlook forum is the place to discuss problems that
affect only Outlook.

Inscidentally the registry entry is not a 'file', but an entry in the
register which is accessed via the registry editor.
