Browers group in SharePoint Services

James

Hello,

This may be a simple task but with the little knowledge I
have, please help.

I need to setup users who are not assigned as team members
to the projects and yet be able to view the documents that
are in the Documents and the Issues tabs. Right now, all
the users have Browser assigned to them.

Thanks
James

This was a big deal for us. I ended up creating a new Category and a new
Security templete, both of which had view rights for documents and issues.
Once I assigned these people to this category (and used the templete to set
their rights) it worked. I still don't fully understand it -- this was done
with MS Support help. It does work though!

By the way, the Browser right in STS is NOT enough to let them do what you
want. They actually have to be "Project Manager (Microsoft Project
Server)" for each subweb.

Scott,

This works, thank you.

I believe "author" will enable them to see the issues. It also should enable them to save issues too
