bug in forms?

I have bee trying to create a form that has a control for a hyperlink field.
I was finally (after a number of attempts and a couple of questions in this
forum) able to get a form, essentially by just letting the wizard do its job.
But there are several weird effects, that make me think there is a bug in
Access 2003.

I let the wizard create a form from all fields in the table (including an
Auto-ID field) -> Hyperlink works
I then disable the Auto-ID (Enable=no) -> Hyperlink stops working
Enable Auto-ID again -> Hyperlink works
Remove Auto-ID -> Hyperlink works
Place Calendar control (v11.0) on form, but not bound to any control ->
Hyperlink stops working
Delete Calendar control from form -> Hyperlink works again.

very strange....
