Bug in MS Word

I am having problems with MS Word stopping in the middle
of an edit session in one document and presenting a menu
box on the screen that says "Microsoft Office Word is
recovering your documents." The process stalls and never
completes, and I have to close MS word, losing all of my
work. How can I fix this bug?

Your computer probably does not meet the minimum system requirements to run a combination of Windows XP Pro and Office. Another possibility is defective memory/motherboard/cpu in the computer.
