Bug on baseline ??

Hello,
The case :
- One task
- fix cost 100$
- Save baseline
- See the task usage and Baseline cost at 100$ (add the line on yellow
sheet)
- Change in baseline cost 100 $ by 50$ in the baseline column in the table
- See in task usage it still at 100$ , and not 50

Same for the baseline start date
Same reaction in all baseline cost 1,2,...10

Question :
If this Baseline cost field is open to enter a value it shoud change the
value in task usage.
If you enter an other value, (you can entre and save) which value is the
rigth on for Project ?
The only way to update the task usage is to save baseline again

Thanks to you

Jean-Luc

No bug, that's how the Baseline fields work. Information is copied into the
Baseline fields when you "Save a Baseline" or you can type it in yourself.
Baseline fields have no effect on other fields.

Baseline fields do not "rollup" they are one-time snapshots of the
other fields at a point in time. So changing a sub task baseline value
will not change the summary task baseline value.

Baseline start an baseline finish does'nt work like that (if you change in
the field it will change in the gantt)
The risk is to change de value in the field, to save the project and keep a
contradiction between the true data value and the field value.
