Bugs worked out with XP SP2 and Outlook?

When SP2 just came out, one functionality that existed in Outlook 2003
(while using Word as e-mail editor) didn't work anymore, the icons (in Web
Tools toolbar) that allowed embedding of sound, video, and marquee text in
e-mail.

I wrote about that problem here, and there was a response that that is a
known bug, that Microsoft was working on.

Has there been a fix for this yet, either through a SP2 update, or an
Outlook 2003 update?

Are you running Windows XP SP2?
I think that is what has broken it (or an update to IE). It's broken in
Outlook 2003 too.

oops, you are running XP SP2 - no it's still broken and is broken in Outlook
2003 too.

Actually I am not now running SP2. I did upgrade to SP2, and had various
problems with it, including the one mentioned. So I downgraded back to SP1
(with all the latest updates to SP1).

The feature is not broken in Outlook 2003 running under XP SP1, but only
with SP2.

At some point I would like to upgrade to SP2, so was checking if this bug
has been worked out, with newer updates to SP2 or Outlook 2003. Are you sure
it hasn't been fixed? Do you have the newest updates to both SP2 and
Outlook?

Someone wrote before that Microsoft was aware of this problem and working on
it. Does anyone know when it will be fixed?

It hasn' been fixed yet. They are working on it. No time frame for the fix
yet.

I believe I may be having just exactly this problem. However it is working
fine on one of our machines with SP2. Is it fixed by some update that I have
downlaoded on one machine only? Half of the machines in our office work and
half don't (all running the same versions of outlook and windows).....
