Build index based on headings in a 'style' ?

I

Isis

I want to quickly build a contents page for a long document by using the
heading I already have - these are all in a particular style which is;

Normal + Arial, 16 pt, Bold, Custom Color(RGB(227,108,10))

is there a way to do this ?

I am using Word from Office XP (2002)

Thanks for any help

It sounds as though you have manually formatted the headings. Create a new
style with that format and apply it to the headings (you can do that with
the replace function) and then use your style to create a table of contents
by selecting it from the options in the TOC dialog.
