Built-In styles questions

Word uses different naming conventions for built-in styles that is maddening.
Why? Why create ONE style that users can't delete called "Body Text First
Indent" and another called "Body Text Indent 2"? I would have used one naming
convention or the other, but I CAN'T because I can't delete one or the other
of these. Is there a written description of all of Word's built-in styles
that might help me understand Microsoft's rationale for naming these
nondeletable styles in this fashion? Most of the names are intuitive, but
some, like these two, are definitely not.

These styles are formatted differently and intended for different purposes.
Body Text First Indent, as the name implies, is the same Body Text but with
a first-line indent. Body Text Indent is the same as Body Text but with a
left indent. Body Text Indent 2 is the same as Body Text Indent except
double spaced (in the same way that Body Text 2 is the same as Body Text
except double spaced).

Thanks for the definitions.

Can you suggest where to find definitions for the remainder of the styles?

If you open Format | Style, you can click down through the styles, and the
definitions are shown in the dialog. If you select "Styles" for "Print what"
in the Print dialog, you will get a list with the definitions; whether it
lists all styles or only user-defined ones, I'm not sure, as I haven't done
this since Word 2.0, but I believe the list I got was all styles.
