bulk print xps files

Eric Brown

Hello,

I have 50 xps files that I need to send to a printer. Is there a
quick and efficient way to do this?

I first tried dragging and dropping the files on the printer, but
nothing happened (nothing opened, nothing printed, nothing was added
to the queue.

I would rather not open 50 files and click "print" after each one. I'm
looking for an automated solution.

If this is an innapropriate question for this group, could you suggest
a better place to ask?

Thanks.

The easiest way is to select all files in Windows Explorer and then from
the FILE menu (of Windows explorer) select print. You will find all
your files are printed automatically using the appropriate application
necessary to open them.

Hope this helps.

This doesn't appear to be an option with XPS files.

However, I just figured out a workaround. Since I have Adobe Acrobat 8
Professional installed, there is a context-menu option to combine
files in a single PDF. It only takes a few seconds. I can print the
resulting PDF quickly and easily.

Thanks.
