bullet and numbering not indented in Outline view

In outline view, is there a way to make numbering and bullets indented the
same way as they're in normal view. If all the bullets and numbering are in
body text, they're not indented as they're in normal view. Instead of sub
numbering displays lower (to the right) of where it is from, the sub
numbering from a bullet point is displayed to the left of the bullet point
like it becomes of a higher level.

I can promote the bullet points to a level then it would look right, but
just wonder if there is any other way without going through every bullet
points in the document.
