bullets formatting

I created bulleted list, however when a scentence is too long and it wraps to
the next line, then the first word on the next line goes straight under the
bullet instead of under the first word of the sentence.

Is there a way to make a bullet stay to the left of the entire paragraph? MS
Word does it perfectly, in PPT however I can't make it work. Any ideas?

Try the following:
1. Select "View" | "Ruler" menu item to show the ruler.
2. The ruler has two configurable buttons to begin with. Drag the lower
button (that points upwards) to some distance to the right from the top
button.
