Bullets & Outlining

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I don't know how this happened or what setting I changed, but hitting the tab key no longer indents or changes the bullet it only indents the text. I found a similar question, but I think it was dealing with Mac:word 2004 instead of 2008 because I couldn't find under Word>preferences>edit...then bullets left indent that it referred to in the answer. Please help!

In Tools> AutoCorrect [(or Word> Preferences> AutoCorrect if you'd rather),
but Command+, is my pick] on the AutoFormat As You Type page restore the
check for "Tabs and backspace set left indent".
