CROA is not needed in XP...
Right click on the folder go to properties and clear the "Read Only"
attribute..
Then another window opens and you have the choice
"Apply to this folder only" OR
"Apply to this folder, subfolders and files"

=======================
| Maybe it's an xp thing then. I just tried zipping a site and burning to
cd.
| The zip file was marked with an r attribute, but the files within the zip
| remained intact. After unzipping to a folder, there were no r attributes.
| I then burned the entire site to the cd without zipping and peeked at the
| results. All files were marked with the r. I then copied entire site to
a
| new folder and there were no r attributes......it's magik. Also, FWIW,
| there is a program called CROA that will allow you to change all
attributes
| in a folder.
