business card templates for Excel/Mac

I am trying to figure out something about the business card templates
that should be simple, but seems to be complicated. I want to make
myself some business cards. I choose a template that I like, and
alter the first card (the one in the upper left-hand corner of the
sheet) so that it looks like I want it to. How do I make the rest of
the cards look like the first one? Is there something I am missing?
Thanks for helping me.

Sorry Matthew, I know of no business card templates for Excel - PC or Mac,
nor do I know of any provision for label output from Excel (which
essentially is what business cards are). Therefore it's just about
impossible to offer any meaningful suggestions.

Where did this "template" come from? Can you provide more descriptive detail
about how you are going about this?

Hello Matt,
If i need to make business cards I would use Word. Make a table with
cell of appropriate dimesions, you can set the borders to be inwisibe.
Then I would fill the first cell with text, then bookmarked the text
(insert>bookmark>put there any name) then go to another table cell and
navigate to insert>cross reference>pick bookmark of your name there.
This will cause the text from 1st cell to appear in this cell. To
update the linked cell (if you change content of the first cell) do
Update Fields (option in contextual mouse menu if you clik on linked
table cell)

For more see word help.

I would certainly use Word's Label wizard instead - you can choose
templates for your specific cards.

While I know some engineers who use XL as a word processor, it's the
wrong tool for the job.

It has nothing to do with Excel, but you might tale a look at "Avery Mac
Label Expert" at

Did you look at the Word Business Card Templates in
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Templates/Business Forms/Business
Cards

I'm not much of a Word user, my thing is Excel, but some sort of
global search and replace would make all the cards the same.
