Thanks very much for your input - it's much appreciated,
even if I still have the problem!

I will post on the Outlook BCM group as you suggest (if I
can find it - it doesn't seem to show up in the newsgroup
list).

It's definitely in the newsgroup list, Richard. Just go to your OE toolbar and click Folder> Outlook Express on your folder list, the one at the very top.

Then when you see the choices of groups you can add(the same as the splash screen on opening OE), scroll down to microsoft.public.outlook.bcm or else just put "BCM" in the search box. It's there and there is the biggest collection of people interested in BCM and equipped to help you with BCM as well as some monitering from MSFT to liason to BCM team members.
