Button images

I am looking for two images to put on my buttons, either .bmp or .ico files.
I am basically looking for a big cross and a tick - so as to denote
'correct' and 'incorrect'.

I have looked in the list, however there aren't any there. Does anybody know
the location of relevant pics in Program Files>Microsoft Office 2000, if I
browse for the pics?

Thanks

If all else fails, open CharacterMap and check out the symbols at the end of
the Wingdings font. Size and color to suit.

You're not limited to what is in a list.
Open the charmap.exe
Start + all programs + accessories + charmap.exe
Windgings font style
There is a check mark and a check down towards the bottom.
Copy the check mark
Open Word.
Paste it.
Select it and resize it as big as you want.
Make it whatever color you want.
Copy it.
Paste it into MSPaint.
Set it's attributes, perhaps 36 x 36 pixels.
Save it as a .bmp file.
Use that.
Size the command button to just fit the picture

Repeat for the cross (like a wobbly X .. or simply use an X) next to
it.
Take you just a couple of minutes.

If you are talking about the big red X and the big green checkmark you see
in some programs, those are programs typically written in some Borland
product. That is the only place I've ever seen them used.

In a typical Windows program, command buttons only contain text and *never*
graphics. (See the Windows guidelines.) Icons should only be used on buttons
on toolbars and toolboxes.

If you must have them, find someone with a Borland product or make your own
in a graphics program.

Good luck.
