Button, Ribbon, format text color and calendar colors in 2007

Something has gone missing!... the colorful formatting and design of the
Button and Ribbon, my text in emails, and the multiple calendars I access.
It does not seem to have affected Word, but have the same problem in Excel &
Powerpoint. How can I recover these missing elements?

Im not sure I understand your question!
Is the formatting Ribbon/tab thing missing at the top? If so, right click on
the menu bar and uncheck "Minimize Ribbon"
Hope that helps

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not the minimize button option... have
retried that several times, it's not the same effect.
It's hard to explain... but the Button icon exists, but it doesn't have it's
normal appearance, same with the some of the other icons like forward/back
arrows. Some of the icon's on the Ribbon appear to be in lower resolution.
The text in email messages can no longer be formatted with color. Text in
older emails that had been formatted with text using color are now only black
text. (It is not an html issue.)
I work with several calendars for other employees, previously I could have 2
or three or more open, and they would each have a different color tab and
outline... that's gone... now black and white only.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes to both. I have been trying to track this
down for about a week now. I'm probably missing something obvious, but
haven't found it yet.

At this point, I'm wondering what would happen if I reinstalled the software
or if it might have something to do with the screen resolution.

I think screen resolution would affect other apps. Can up load a picture
somewhere so we can see what it looks like? if you don't have anywhere to
upload, use www.xsolive.com -there is an outlook screenshot library you can
use.

Have you tried office diagnostics?
