Button to insert character in text field.

Hello,

I have a form where users will be needing to insert two characters very
often, a diamond and an arrow. I know i can add a button where it will copy
the symbol to the clipboard (if I can find the keycode for the symbol) but is
there a way that they can click a button on the form and it will insert the
symbol right into the text string?

And does anyone know the key codes for the diamond and a down-left arrow
(like you see on your keyboard "ENTER" key?
