I am replacing a 4 year old notebook. I will have Windows XP Home
Edition. Should I get Office 2003 or 2007? Is 2007 pretty solid or
buggy? Thanks.

What are the specs on that 4 year old notebook? I personally like Office 2007 but I am running it on a notebook purchased 18 months ago with 2 gigs of RAM.

No - I'm buying a NEW notebook (probably with 1 gig of RAM) for the
new Office. Do you find 2007 to be buggy at all? New releases always
make me nervous. Thanks.

Not at all. I have used it since the non-public beta and I rather like it. You may want to get a 60 day trial to see how you like it rather than purchase it outright. If you find it suits your preferences, then get a retail version (amazon.com has the best prices I have found) especially if you want to install on a desktop in the future. OEM versions are tied to the machine they are bought with and cannot be reused once the machine dies.
