They sure do when you call for a replacement disk tho.
And you and I can keep our fingers crossed that she doesn't have to post
again.

I agree with your statements. Unfortunately MS hasn't seen fit to
differentiate between OEM and retail on their web sites too much. She
will find that she can't activate the OEM version if attempts are made
on the second machine then we get to hear from her again!
I've learned that posters don't always give us *all* of the info we'd
need to give a definitive answer. Mostly because they don't realize
that we need to know something to help them. Plus others may go to the
EULA site and not realize that OEMs are different.

But the OP said "Also, I bought Microsoft Office Standard Edition."
One can only assume that this is a retail version but I do agree, it
is only for the retail versions of Office.
Please note: The EULAs that are on the MS website are for retail
versions only, not OEM.

Check the EULA for the MS Office Standard Edition. The version I
see on MS's web site says "Installation and use. You may: (a)
install and use a copy of the Software on one personal computer or
other device; and (b) install an additional copy of the Software on
a second, portable device for the exclusive use of the primary user
of the first copy of the Software. " at

Why buy when you can use what you already have (as long as work
allows you to take it home and put it on your laptop.)

Can I order just Word and Excel since that's all I need at home?
Also, I bought Microsoft Office Standard Edition for work (it's
already
installed), but I'd like to use it at home also. Since I'm still
just one
user, can I use my product identification # twice so that I can
keep it on my
office desktop and also put it on my home laptop?
Thanks so much for responding!!!
