Buying a Groove 3.1 license

I'm using the TRIAL version of Groove Virtual Offive V3.1a
Can I buy a license and continue to run v3?
I am running Windows 2000, and I have no plans to upgrade to Win/XP or
Vista, since I am running a number of applications which are not supported by
XP or Vista.
I can't seem to find anywhere on the Microsoft Groove website to do this...

I don't think (new) Gv3.1 licenses are available anymore.
You may have to consider Groove 2007 client licenses instead.

The problem is that Groove 2007 requires Win/XP or Vista. That's not an
option since some of my key applications won't run on those.

Hi Erik,

Groove 2007 licenses purchased through the Microsoft Volume Licensing
Program allow you to use the previous software release.
So a Groove 2007 license should be a solution for you.

more is getting the 3.1 software itself. How much longer will this link be
active at the groove.net workspace? Once that gets deleted, there will be no
way to download and install 3.1.

If anyone has a link to a downloadable file that provides a full and
independent install of 3.1, I would really appreciate it. Then I can keep
this on hand if we bring in a new user.

Eventually we probably will move from 3.1 to 2007, but it is on hold for
now, as any such migration typically will cause some surprise issues.

In case this link would disappear, we will make the installation file
available for download on our web site http://www.hommesetprcess.com as
long as we have customers using Groove 3.1
At this time, we have more than 100 customers still using Groove 3.1.
Some of them will continu to use Groove 3.1 at least until Q3 2008 ...

Jan - thank you, just what I needed!

I am glad to see these discussions and I hope that Groove keeps going and
improving. It is a great tool for our small business, it would be hard for us
to live without it.
