Cache of email addresses - how to clean

The Cache of email address does not want to forget the old address when i
change someone to a new address - the old one keeps coming up in the
autocomplete - how do i clean it up. Thanks

When the old one comes up, use your arrow keys to highlight it on the list
and press the DELETE key.

Thanks - it had me tricked
