When I am running in Cached Exchange Mode my rules only seem to actively
apply to new messages coming in to my Inbox (from Exchange to local .pst
file) when I hit F9 or click on Send/Receive All. In non-cached mode the
rules are applied immediately and unread messages get filed right away, which
is what I would expect. In Cached mode though, they all just sit there in my
Inbox until I hit F9. This is a pain in the butt since the whole point of
most of my Rules would be to file incoming mail automatically to various
folders! Anybody else see this behavior? I even tried deleting and
recreating all my rules, and no help there... also doesn't matter whether I
check "this machine only" or not in the Rules creation. Running Outlook 2003
SP-1 with all the latest XP and O2k3 patches.
