What do you mean? The cache is a replica of what's in the mailbox on the server.

It has been suggested that there are some corrupt item in the cache, namely
calendar items (the item was deleted and does not apper in Outlook, but the
still shows on the Palm). I was wondering it there was a way to clear the
cache out to see if that fixes the problem with the palm calendar.

While I doubt that it will affect the problem, close Outlook and delete the
OST file in
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

In addition to Brian's suggestion, I think Microsoft Product Support Services has a tool that can find and remove corrupted calendar items.
