In a table, every time I type cafe it automatically
changes to café. How can I stop this from happening? The
é is causing errors in our archaic printing system.

Thanks

Click Tools -> Autocorrect Options..., locate the list entry for "cafe",
and delete it. While you're in there, you may want to look for other
items that may cause difficulty for your printing system.

You've got AutoCorrect enabled.

Either set the Allow AutoCorrect property for the textbox to No, or remove
the cafe --->> café correction (Tools | Autocorrect in the menu bar)

This is being caused by the Autocorrect feature. To to
Tools - Autocorrect Options. You will see a list of words
that Access will automatically replace with another word
as you type. You can turn the feature off entirely, or
you can scroll through the list and find cafe/café and
delete that entry.
