I just started using the program but is there a way to show resources
assigned to a task in the calander view page

Hello mtanner,
Yes, choose Format > Bar Styles. Select the Noncritical bar style
definition and in the lower portion, edit the Fields listed to
Name,Duration,Resource Names. Click OK. Repeat for Critical path
tasks as needed.
