calculate totals in forms

I am new to creating forms with calculations. I understand the concept of
naming the fields, etc. When i place a "calculation field" into the form, and
write the calculation such as "+A2*D2" in cell say E2, upon exiting the
editor it will calculate the cell. But when runing the form in protected
mode, where you allow form fileds only to be filled, it will not reflect any
changes to the total, or update it.

The same is true if trying to calculate a total for a column, etc.

What am I missing?

Scott,

Unprotect your form. Double click each variable field and check "Calculate
on exit" then reprotect.
