Calculating in Timesheets

Hi All,

I have been asked a question which seems a bit complicated. The
question is: Can MS Project automatically calculate 8 hours a day,
regardless of how many actual work hours are inputted?

For example: I log in 3 hours for Task A, and then 3 hours for Task B
on a particular day. When my time sheet is due, I need it to say I
worked 8 hours for the whole day instead of six (4 hours for Task A,
and 4 Hours for Task B).

Is this calculation possible in MS Project 2003?

No, this is not possible. The system takes the hours literally. If you
require that 8 hours per day be entered in the PWA timesheet, then you must
make this a training and performance issue with your team members. Hope
this helps.
