Hello,
I am trying to come up with a reliable formula for calculating Planned
Value in hours. To me, the logical way to do this would be to sum
Baseline Work at the assignment level from the Start Date to the
Status Date; however, it appears that MS Project does not have an
assignment-level field for Baseline Work.
I know that if my resource rate was $1.00/hr., I could get planned
value that way; however, I require actual resource rates to be
entered. I am currently using the following formula:
(Status Date - Start Date)
-------------------------- * [Baseline Work]
(Finish Date - Start Date)
This formula is "ok", but it doesn't accurately account for
non-working time. That is why I was hoping for an assignment-level
Baseline Work field.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Andy
